There is a lot of speculation that Christie wil be Romney's running mate if he gets the nomuination.
That would be fine with me. I'm not really sure that Romney will get it, but it sure looks like he has a leg up.

You're probably right Hal and as you've said "that would be fine with me" also. Some would argue that more balance would be needed on the ticket and as such people like Rubio or even Palin would be a better choice.
Whoever it will be they had better be ready for a political colonoscopy considering the act little Georgie Snufalupogus put on at the last, televised debate. Our "unbiased" press corp will surgically uncover their backgrounds, something they somehow overlooked with the Bamster.

The only way I would vote for Romney is if he has a good running mate. Otherwise I am protest-voting. If I can write my own name in, I will. If not, I'll vote libertarian.

A Romney-Christie ticket is not exactrly my dream ticket. However, I think Ron Paul is a total kook.
Yet, I would vote for him over Nobama. I like Rubio also. The way I see it, a vote for anyone besides the Republican ticket is a vote for Obama. Of course, here in Illinois, my vote doesn't count. It is a very Democratic state and the machine will carry the day no matter what. Contrary to common beleif, I am not a straight Republican voter. I have voted for independents and Democrats in the past, but those machine voters will go democratic no matter what. In this case, I am anti-Nobama no matter what. The media is sickning with its double standard. If Paul runs third party, it is the same as handing the inept one another 4 years.

Christie is a possibility, but Pawlenty or Jindahl make more sense geographically.
Not a Mitt fan even remotely, but he seems pretty well=-posed to win it unless he issues too many pink slips.

Pawlenty, no way - cant win Minn. Jindahl, no way, nobody knows him. I doubt Christie too; he's no one's side show.
Rubio is the one that makes the most sense. He can deliver Florida for sure, can satisfy Ron Paul's followers & helps win the hispanic vote in other states. Not too many other logical choices.
For the life of me, I cannot understand how anyone can vote for Paul unless they want to hand the election to Obama. This election is far too important to become an idea-log.

Politically Paul is at the other end of the spectrum from Ralph Nader, but they're cut from the same cloth. Neither one gives two shits about the republicans or democrats. Nader cost the dems the election when he took votes from Kerry by running as the Green Party candidate, and don't think Paul would hesitate to do the same sort of thing. People say he wouldn't because of his son, but the acorn didn't fall far from the tree, so I wouldn't count on that. Logic doesn't rule with folks like Nader and Paul. The latter is seventy-five years old and comes across as an alien who just walked off a spaceship. He knows he'll never be elected president, but he isn't a booksale candidate like Cain, Gingrich and Bachman. He's a man with a loyal following who is true to his principles, and that's a dangerous cat in a high stakes election.

reason given was lack of money needed to be competitive.
Romney ideally needs a running mate who is considered more conservative than him( for the evangelical vote/christian right) and not from the northeast(probably south or midwest)

Romney isn't exactly my cup of tea, far too RINO for my taste. But it looks like he'll probably be the anti-Obambi, which will get my vote. I'd be happy with a tri-box of Rubio-Jindhal-Perry for veep, although I'd prefer any of those 3 over Romney.
Ron Paul is 50% great ideas, and 50% wacky. I hope to hell he gets out, or enough of the "Ronulins" will vote and hand the Half-White House back to the guy who will bankrupt the world.

There are many who feel exactly as you do JS.
I've said before that I would vote for Howdy Doody or Elsie, the Borden's cow before I'd vote for this marxist-muslim currently in the white house.
I will not, however, throw my vote away by voting third party. This election is far too important for something like that. Especially if you happen to like the country in which you live.

I have been a Ron Paul supporter for years, but honestly, I think the time has come for him to retire.
Of course I would vote for Paul if Romney picks a bad VP candidate. I love Jindal and truly wish he or Alan West would be on top of the ticket. Jindal is my number one Republican out there!

I would vote for a Rubio/Jindahl quinella in a heartbeat. But will not vote 3rd party... that guarantees 4 more years of the Marxist & and the destruction of our economy.
