That really sucks. It is also amazing there are not a whole lot more barn fires. I would guess 90% of the horse people who smoked back in the 1960s and 1970s would smoke right in the straw bedded stalls. I used to, and dropped more than one live cigarette in a pile of straw, but I quickly dumped the entire water bucket on the burning ciggy.

Smoking alone is ignorant, but smoking in a horse barn should be a bailable offense today, mainly because we are all smarter today than we were back then.
