I wish the great Govenor Quinn of the great state of Illinois could read this but its probably got too many big words in it for him rflmao1
Your first mistake is assumming that the quinnster can read at all. He is the poster boy for the term "political hack".
I really do understand your dismay when I look from afar (well-not that "afar") at the political situations harness racing finds itself in up in Illinois. You guys are going to IHHA meetings and discussing the same things that were discussed when I was a member and attended the meetings ad-nauseum. That was more than 10 years ago and nothing has changed

And, in 10 more years there won't be anything to discuss.!

The 40,000 horse racing related jobs mean a lot to the people of the state of IL, but don't mean shit to Quinnochio. The big donations from the casino lobby go directly to him... that's all he cares about.
House Speaker Michael Madigan is the Gipetto that created the puppet Quinnochio.

Every time I read about the people in Illinois politics, I thank God that we moved out of that miserable Crook County 10 years ago. Quinn, Madigan, Blago, etc.,etc.
'Course that can be said of any states politicians.
The country's entire political structure needs term limits !!

Put them on Social Security, not the golden parachute they have now; then they can work until they turn 65 to get their $1100/mo like the rest of us. Also put them on Medicade/Medicare so they can sit down at the community health center with their "subjects".

What a great idea! I would immediately move the White House affairs to Nevada and Florida during the winter, and close down the government from August 1st to November 15 in order to attend standardbred events.
;D

Mr President, I would also suggest moving the Dept of Agriculture to Farmer City, IL. ...just sounds right.
You could just do away with about 90%+ of the other depts.
