Check Me Out deserves to be the first two-year-old filly trotter named HOY. She was historically great against a strong division.....The aged trotting division consisted of a scizoid bunch of lame, over-the-hill horses, in addition to far too many that simply weren't any good in the first place.

Was she the fastest 2yo ft of all time ? NO
Was she the richest 2yo ft of all time ? NO

I think Check me Out should be HOY because in a weak year across all other divisions, she is the only one who measures up historically.
Delmonica Hanover was a great trotter, but she only won three stakes at two.
