Yep , it's sure gonna be fun watching them get their heads beat in by Alabama .....

Big 10 = JOKE !!   the worst  out of the 5 power conferences.

The single word that comes to mind after that huge win against Wisconsin: unexpected
The single word that comes to mind when thinking about their game with Alabama: autotoss

Is autotoss one or two words?  rflmao1

I admit that I'm silently rooting for the Browns to do well and make the playoffs BUT the minute they announce JM as their starting QB I'm off the bandwagon. Can't stand that guy.

Hey JM can't be ANY WORSE than Hoyer is. The bad  Thing is that Hoyer throws everyone under the bus. I want Jason Campbell back as QB.

The bad thing about Hoyer is that many people wanted to sign him to a long term contract a few weeks ago.  He never showed he was any better than average but since the team had a winning record they thought he was great.

Think the Browns would trade Hoyer for Cutler straight up if the Bears pay the remainder of his contract?

Don't be so sure............. not a good start for JM in the first half against the Bengals.

I watched while I was dealing and two of his interceptions should have been receptions. A couple of major calls against the Browns and those two interceptions really screwed over Johnny Football's debut as a starter.

He may or may not be a great QB in the future, but he is definitely not great right now.

I think when he got hit a few times his own teammates did the money thing with their hands.

4 team playoff is ridiculous, 6 is where it should be.  TCU shouldn't have made it if Baylor didn't though.  What is going to be the bigger draw, Baylor/TCU vs Alabama or OSU vs Alabama?  I am sure that ratings played some part in the decision.

Either a 4 team or 8 team play-off. Can't have a 6 team. Odd number after the first week of games.

It should never come down to who is the better draw ever. This is why college football still sucks...

3 plays 6, 4 plays 5 week one.  1 and 2 get that first week bye like the NFL.

Alabama is very lucky to have the lead. One silly fumble and one poorly run route that led to an interception handed them 14 points.

Alabama ain't all that. Even if they do beat Ohio State and our third string QB, Alabama gets killed next week by Oregon.

Can't give any bye's in college football. Fl. State was bitching they should be number one. (I know they got blown out). They had a point at the time. They hadn't lost.

Ohio State deserved to win, they were the better team in this one. The whole SEC got exposed with Ohio State beating Bama, Wisconsin beating Aubrun, TCU romping over whatever the f**k miss team, the other one losing to Ga Tech and LSU losing to Notre Dame.

Just think if it was still the BCS format, the title game would have been Alabama and Florida St....  thumbsdown thumbsdown

Florida State is the team that really was exposed. Just as I've said all year-they have been incredibly lucky. They are not even close to a top team.

No you can't, it's subjective, too many teams. It's not like the NFL, where it comes down to won loss, then tie breakers. Are you going to give more credence to the SEC,ACC, or the Big 10, while leaving out the teams out west?

Yes you can.

If you can rate the top 4, you can rate the top 6, as well as who is number 1 and number 2.  This year 7 and 8 already lost two games.  Some years it may even be three losses.  If you lose that many you really don't deserve a shot to play for the title.

Byes to the top 2. Reward them for seasonal acheivement

(Aka Jeremy's 100% correct).

Need to put 8 or 16 team playoff.  To many bowl games , too many 6-6 or 7-5 teams in bowls.

These teams need to play meaningful games from the get go. Playing cupcake U there first 3 games in the season I mean really?

Match ups mean everything , even in College.  No dominant team out there.

Nothing wrong with scheduling those easy games. It usually pays the bills for the athletic dept of those small schools.

Even though I love them Bucks Giss you simply cannot give byes. Again are you going to give the sec teams more credence? that is why this years teams and play-offs thing is being criticized !!! TCU was third and them poof gone. Even Galloway said he had the Bucks fifth. You can't give bye's.

TCU wasn't in the top 2, but in the top 6.  So your argument doesn't hold.

Sorry but Fl State WAS!!! again there's no set way of picking 1 and 2 without pissing someone off. Having 8 teams playing equal games is the right thing.

Florida State was 3.

Last year Ohio State was #7, and had they been in the playoffs they would have been embarrassed.

#7 Mississippi State lost this year to #12 Georgia Tech and #8 Michigan St did beat #5 Baylor, however they already lost to both teams in the title game this year.

8 teams is just too many.

No way can you say this team gets a bye, do you know what will happen? FL State didn't lose a game (even though they could and should have). Many had them number one. Just don't think you can open things without changing the way the committee votes,

What a great tram this is. This is a third string QB. No other team in history could have won it all with their third string QB.
