Title: White Bliss
Post by: LVGaryD on November 29, 2014, 05:33:54 PM
White Bliss has "rat" written all over him, but I think old Gary D. could make a brief return to training and make him a useable racehorse. Here is my offer:

Ake, fly me out east, get me a room at a Hampton Inn for a week, pay me $35,000 plus 5% of what the horse makes in the next twelve months, and I will hang him up properly.

Not gonna happen. He has more value as a breedable "show" horse than as a race horse.

Giss is right.  He isn't going to be a world champion racehorse  but he is worth big $$ to some folks. It is just me but he is a nice built horse but I find him not so pretty.

Especially for $240K.

$240K painting worth $10K at most right now. With almost zero chance of passing on the white thing. What a monumental blunder.

Not true. He is not an albino, which would be a recessive gene. He has been confirmed as a KIT horse a co-dominant gene. Good story by Ellen Harvey - http://www.drf.com/news/harness-racing-rare-white-standardbred-born

I honestly think GQ Mindale (a horse I sold in 1991 to Bernie Wright for $2500) could beat him easily.
