Title: Vacation is winding down

Spent yesterday at The Meadows once again. I went down with a friend, who signed me into the paddock. Got to visit with a lot of old friends, including David Miller, driving god Brett Miller, Del S. Miller, Tommy Paver-it was like 30 years ago at Scioto Downs.

Was so engrossed with talking to the old Scioto guys that I did not get up to bet Pathian, which I would have definitely hit the trifecta for $16,000 had I bet. Of course it would have shrunk to $8000 if I hit it. Didn't even bet her to win, and I think she paid $17.00

Despite that stupidity, I had a great time. God, I love that track!!

Vacation??? 

Isn't it more like a sabbatical at this point?   ::)

Actually I work harder on vacation than I do at work. Every single day I am buying, selling, jogging, training, or helping race horses. I have put over 5000 miles on my car thus far since August 24th.
