Title: Little League World Series
Post by: tonyb147 on August 23, 2014, 04:36:44 PM
Illinois takes down Nevada. Sorry Gary and Pope.
From what I've seen with the local coverage it's hard not to root for Jackie Robinson.

Congratulations! Pope and I were talking about this possibility the other day. We said any baseball team can lose to any other team on any given day. It's just a shame they don't play best of three or five or something once they get to this level.

I don't think they have any chance against S.Korea, those kids are so damned disciplined . I would like to see them take it though  lilcheerleader

Jackie Robinson West representing the Great Lakes Region - at least we have one team in Chicago that can beat Cleveland!

The parade for the U.S. champions is this Wednesday - finally something to cheer.

LOL..... They did great and IMO with better management of their pitching they could of won but no shame being the best team in the U.S.A.

Weren't really the best team in USA. Vegas and them each beat each other once. Should had a one game winner take all. Not right if your in winners bracket pretty and run table to championship and lose you get screwed.

What team represented the U.S.A. in the title game ? What should be is your opinion which is pretty much useless.

That is what I said to Pope before the game. Chicago should never have even played since they already got beat by Las Vegas.

The best team won.  The Vegas team would not have beat them either.  For anyone to now question the format of the series is just sour grapes IMHO

I questioned the format before it happened. And I still question it.

However, no one was beating the 20 year-old Koreans. rflmao1 rflmao1 rflmao1

The whole thing, regardless of format and who beat who, was a lot more exciting than watching the Cubs of White Sox... this year has been God awful for those two teams so the LLWS was a breath of fresh air.
