Oh man that's sad  redrose redrose redrose I also saw In Over My Head do a nasty break and not finish the race, I hope he is OK, he has physical problems to start with.

Even when they aren't your's it hurts. I'll never forget watching one of my favorites at the time, Perfect Mohawk, come to a stop in the middle of the stretch at Maywood and collapse. The driver, Marc Aubin, seemed to know what was happening but looked helpless. Mark Fransen, Mohawk's trainer at the time, came sprinting down the track towards the horse. Once he got there he began punching the horse in the midsection (horse CPR?). It was disturbing to watch.
