Now he can be just a 'fan in the stands!'   Fine race caller.   I too remember that Game Show appearance but how many recall when Tom was announcing at Balmoral Park?   I sure do, it wasn't very long but he did announce at Balmoral.

Don't remember Durkin calling Balmoral - what years and was it for harness or T-Bred?

In Chicago and in his prime, there was none better than Phil Georgeff for either breed.

What a way to go out!! this guy is so classy. Fans gave the Durkin chant. That chant was reserved for Jeter of the Yankees. Durkin will be missed!!! Loved his race calls, both harness and flats!!!  bowdown bowdown bowdown bowdown bowdown

I see maywoodmaniac's question didn't get answered......Tom announced harness at Balmoral (but not for long) and I dont recall about t-breds (or the years) for that matter.   As for Phil - I couldn't agree more!   "Heeere they come, spinning out of the turn......!"    Or, "Dashing thru the snow........!"
