His owner took him  from Potter Stable.  owner needs $11,441  to get BBJ's  winnings to  $1mil. Going to stud in Ohio 2012.  gonna make alot of difference huh shootme

If the $11,441 results in a catastrophic breakdown... noway

Give him several months off, then go for the million mark if that's your goal. He can breed mares in the spring and race later in the year. jmo

JS we all know this.  unfortunately BBJ's owner is brain dead.  If you knew what RP  had to go thru this summer with this man it is nuts.  RP did an awesome job keeping his sanity and his horse on the path to success in spite of BBJ's owner.  Kiddos to RP for a great job under the circumstances.   thumbsup

How stupid. It is not like it is going to improve his stud fee.

Could BBJ be coming back to race briefly after the 1st of the year simply to say he raced as a 4yr old and satisfy Gural's new policy on retiring 3yr olds? I know nothing about the specific language that Gural put together but couldn't he stand stud in the spring and then race a few times later in the year?

They have changed that to not go into affect until next year. So it affects the 2 year olds turning 3 and not the horses that have been retired this year

I'd rather breed to a millionaire. Any news on the Pacific Renegade babies?

RWJ was the only one who was consistently good, and his brother, Bettor

RWJ because I like the connection. Does the breeder of the mare determine stake eligibility or the stud? The foal would have to be LBJ eligible!

Roll With Joe...

loved Big Bad John's heart, but was a thin horse and not much to look at, I don't see him as a dominating sire and he is a Western, so many crosses with WH out there.
