Not a mention of our work with various police and animal control units, or of the non-profit and or attempt to find a building. Maybe I should have slammed the door in the schmuck's face when he showed up unannounced after all.

I hate all of those kind of animals, but certainly would feel safe living next to Mr. Gisser.
Actually the video was not too harsh on you. The news article sort of stunk though.

In Chicago, Chuck Goudie is such a bulldog for the ABC affiliate that people have actually run away when they see him approaching for an interview.

The flip side is: That's a lot of animals living in one house. Exotic or not. In my area there is a limit of two animals per home. If you had a small child would you want alligators for neighbors? I don't blame the guy for being pissed.

Fair point, but which would you rather have? Alligators in your neighbors basement in locked cages behind locked doors, or dogs being kept outdoors where they can easily slip a lead and get loose?

my neighbor has a dangerous rotweiller, she licks everyone but at least I have a place for my leftovers

I was going to go to a psychiatrist for that, but my bartender told me to just cut the legs off my bed and they couldn't get under there. I saved thou$and$.

Gisser's neighbor, Brian Johnson, says one of Gisser's snakes escaped and made his way into his backyard where his child was playing. Johnson said exotic animals, including snakes, "shouldn't be living in residential neighborhoods if you can't control them."
Gisser explained the snake slipped through a broken screen window which has been repaired
So, it is possible for one of these creatures to escape. A door left unlocked, a hole in a screen or whatever.
Around here it is illegal to leave a dog outside on a lead unattended. But, to answer your question, I'd prefer neither. 160 animals should not be kept in a home in a residential area. I don't care if they are reptiles, dogs, cats, chip monks or rats. Just my opinion.

Except the snake was not in his yard, it was in mine. It never left the property. And his kid was nowhere around.
