Title: Woodbine Friday Night Selections
Post by: Headpole Dave on November 15, 2013, 04:07:57 PM
 idunno

Well after taking an ass-kicking last night, I'm going to try and win some more back from those WEG bastards. Here's what I like tonight:

1- Memumsnotnice. Other than having a great name, this filly has been pretty honest so far in her young racing career. She's been roughed up a bit in some higher classes, but she should fit in well with this group and Corey Johnson training doesn't hurt either. Box with Addison Bay

2- Random Dynasty. Playing a hunch here, not sure how this race is going to set up as its an elimination in a series. I like how MacDonald has improved driving and I think this one should get away close and still have some left at the end. Have a long look at Filion's mount though, he had his choice of a couple in here.

3- Double Down Gas. I played this one a couple weeks ago at 8-1 and was rewarded nicely. You know the Gas man will have him fired up, play Popeda for second. This is the tougher division of the two by far.

4- Sentimental Lady. Trainer change to Auciello on a horse that's been racing well. Good enough for me.

5- ........ I'm leaving towards Magic Hat, but this field is full of X's and O's on their lines and not much speed or experience. Throw a dart and hope for one here.

6- Glammit. This is a wide open field of horses that are allergic to winning. If MacDonald gives his horse the right trip, he'll light up the tote board.

7- Jan it Jackson. Waxman is a juicer and has been lighting this one up like a Christmas tree. Tried to go down the road from the dreaded 10 hole but couldn't do it last week... Will be on the engine again and I'm taking a shot.

8- Alexa's Jackpot. Ships back to the big track from the Pocono wars. Marty Fine isn't a guy I like that much but he always has them ready.

9- Reckon I'm Ready. I keep playing this horse hoping for a turnaround. Not really hopeful tonight either.

10- All AMerican Extra. Been racing pretty consistently in with this bunch. Box with Western Senator.

11- Canbec King Kazimir. Looking for an upset pick with some odds here. Horse is fast but will need a heads up steer to beat the likely favorite. ]

12- Gracie Montana.

Good luck to all playing along!

Good luck, Dave!

EP4

R4: 5,9,8    1,2,3    (This race has sneaky upset written all over it.  Wouldn't be surprised if top tier lose here.)

R5: 10,2,7,8($)    1,3,6    (And I thought Balmoral was bad.)

R6: 4,7      2,3      8,1

R7:  3,4,2,6       1,10      5

Starts already. MacDonald gets a perfect two hole trip, and forgets that there is no passing lane at Woodbine, stays on the rail, horse on the engine stops dead off cheap fractions and he gets shuffled to fifth.

Thanks guys.  We'll let Jazz sign for them this time.  ;)

Really upset about getting beat out of the last leg of the LP4, however.  Can't win them all.
