Title: Ashland fair
Post by: LVGaryD on September 16, 2013, 04:08:17 PM
So far I've been in Ohio for one week, and today I attended my third different fair. Of course I went to the Wayne county fair six consecutive days.

As usual, Ashland was cool and windy, but no jacket was needed. I also did not bet a single dollar. I actually ended up helping a couple of friends.  Of course I did nothing requiring much physical labor.    noway

My pal Clair Umholtz had to go to the hospital today and his groom really did not know how to put elbow boots on. (An aging Gary D. also had to think about it for a minute, having not put them on a horse in 20+ years.) Came home smelling like a horse.  ;D

Had some awesome homemade butter pecan ice cream today. What a nice fair!

Ashland is one of my favorite fairs every year!!  It is the first place that my name ever appeared in the program.

The sound was great in the barn area! I must say though that the French fries I had were not very good.

After reading my original post, it was apparent that my eyes could not see my phone when I was writing. Had to edit and write what I really meant.

Enjoy for now! Judge Tim is going to have you barred from all Ohio racing venues!!! 8) 8) 8)

That's what I was about to say?  What hospital?  Then I remembered, Clair was in the barn this morning...........and he delivered mail to me yesterday morning..............so whatever it was, was a long way from his heart.
