July 31st:
There was a good crowd out, presumably many of them attracted by the prospect of seeing Adios 2:021/2, King's Counsel 2, 2:011/4 and the Lions of the two-year-old pacing division meet, but as has been stated the National Stakes could not be raced. But there was so much sharp racing that the crowd made no audible objections, betting $33,564 on the twelve heats of the day.
