I know a lot of guys that race under the saddle, but here at Green Meadows we are promoting harness racing and a winter training facility in Greenville, TX.

Once upon a time, there was harness racing in Texas at some fairs.

The South Texas Fairs Racing Circuit, meeting at Boerne, Texas, on February 7, adopted a resolution asking the legislature to legalize horse racing, which, we assume, means they want to have betting legalized.

Among the winners at El Paso, Texas, were Knight of Strathmore (Frost), Teddy Y. (Freed), Wild Girl (Wallace) and Ante Russell (Brown).
1930
W. H. L. McCourtie of Dallas, Texas, owner of Mr. McElwyn 1:591/4, is distributing a fine calendar in colors, showing the famous young stallion.
Mr. McCourtie owned a large plant and there's a photo of Mr. McElwyn standing in the middle of all the emlpoyee's from this same period.
