Scioto Downs has had some real good racing this week. Sadly, the pools are very small. The driving colony is really very good, especially for a track in Ohio. If the people return and bet there, I can really see this track taking off again as Ohio's Showplace of Racing.
And the announcer there is awesome. Really enjoy listening to him! Especially if he calls my horse the winner. thumbsup

It is actually fun to wager at Scioto again. Action picked up last year with the slots-infused purses and has continued this year. For a number of years, I would only go there to play simulcast. I play the live races now. Pools are small, by comparison, but the exotic payouts are generally worthwhile.

I got the green light to go up to Scioto tomorrow for my first trip since turned into the racino....
combination of 2yo filly trot and pace + a lot of rain = my ass will be home..... Will run up there another time.
How is their handle doing ? Last year, there was a lot of noise about the handle being up, not like Northfield or others, but up..... Haven't heard much about this year. Will check out the Racing commission site....
