Title: Northfield race four

I missed what happened there before the race. First they barred the #4 from wagering (and I had him keyed on my trifecta tickets, so I canceled all bets).

Then he went in the paddock for several minutes and announced that he was scratched. Maybe he fell down or something in the post parade? ???

Finally, Danny Noble made Chris Page pull from the three hole because his horse refused to keep up....until the 3/4 when Danny one-handed his ass. Result: Page's horse stopped like he got shot, Danny finished second.

Too much weird stuff going on in one race.  slaphead

Lovely evening..............the #4 was announced earlier as a scratch, it was supposed to be the #5..............so they barred him................then it was decided there would be too much of an outcry if he raced and won so they scratched him.............. 4pezz2............yes it is screwed up................. thumbsdown

why wasn't he just barred from wagering ?
