Hard to imagine a guy like Phil who always seemed to dress in style, arrive in style, and look the part is now in need of money to be buried.   I have sent what I could and hope they are able to get the funds needed to enter him into rest, respectfully.

I hope all of you take a moment and think about what happens when you pass.   Don't leave you family and strangers responsible for your final arrangements.

Sorry to hear of Phil's passing. We exchanged many private messages over the years and he was always a class act and a pleasure to communicate with... A great loss. Condolences to his many friends and family.

Probably the classiest person ever on any forum.

One of the few people who they could post on any topic and make it interesting.

I too received many PMs from RTP and will miss him.

RIP

I only met Phil once when he came down to Balm for a ITS get-together. He was a class act and invited me to spend an evening at Super Booth 1 at Maywood. Never got to take the fine gentleman up on his offer.

I remember the stories Phil told me about some of the posters from another Forum.  We had some great laughs.  He didn't always have it easy but he knew how to enjoy life.  He will be missed.

I have known Phil since I started kindergarten, he was a super 9 ball player and Gin rummy player,

I know back in the day he may have gone a week or more without sleep because he was always in

action. When Ritmo was racing he had a new Buick Riviera with his license plate RITMO, I just thought

that was the coolest thing ever. I got to see him within the 6 weeks or so with Val at freddys pizza

in Cicero and you could just see how sick he was, it was very sad. I'm sure if you sat around the

people that knew him throughout his life they would never run out of stories.

Phil was a true Chicago legend, A one of a kind, good bye old friend  redrose
