Title: Race Track Rosie Has Passed
Post by: The Skipper on June 10, 2013, 04:09:06 PM

I saw this on BTW and thought I'd post it here, many IL regulars know of Rosie and she was a sweet lady

to speak to. RIP Rosey  redrose.

RIP Rosie. redrose
I have a Sportsmans program autographed by her.  Was at the track with my son and he got it.  Was always nice to her fans.

RIP Rosie.

If I had to use one word to describe Rosie it would be "thick", and I say that with the utmost respect.  redrose

Met her once but saw her (how could you miss?!) Countless times.  Loved being the center of attention.  She often would sit in the lower boxes near the finish line, grandstand side at Sportsmans.  Sat with a number of owners, Frank Calabrese being one of them.  Amazing how she got poured into those outfits with nothing or virtually nothing underneath (yeah I know, thats too much information!).  Anybody know how old she was?  RIP to a legend that is/was more well known than many of the horses and drivers.
