Title: Yet another day at the dentist
Post by: LVGaryD on May 28, 2013, 03:54:12 PM
Well folks I spent another day at the office ofvmy beautiful dentist, Dr. Terrie Tran.

Last Monday was my exam, today she did the dirty work. I am not even certain exactly how many cavities she filled-one or two, because the lady never gave me my receipt. All I know is that I'd like to thank my dear Lord Jesus for the person who came up with nitrous oxide.

I was not relaxed even a tiny bit when they started stabbing me with needles, so I told the assistant, "Turn this m.f. all the way up." She said she could not do that and once again I explained to her that I do not mind getting buzzed in the least. Well she got the message and got me buzzed, then the lidocaine kicked in, and the dentist drilled to her heart's content.

Still numb nearly three hours later, but the buzz went away, unfortunately. All in all, I give my beautiful dentist a 9 for today's comfortability.

My dentist is older than me!  Have been going to him for years.  He is the most pain-free dentist I have have ever encountered.  I am a big sissy when it comes to pain. He is very good.  Years ago I had one of my front teeth knocked out in a doubles ping-pong match.(Hal was a super pong player in his younger days)  I had  a root canal and a tooth made to fit the post.  A couple years ago it fell out and I lost it.  Went to dentist to get a new one.  Of course it takes a week or so to get the new tooth from the lab.  In the meantime, my dentist fashioned a new temporary tooth to put in till the lab came through.  I thought it looked better than the lab made tooth.  Didn't have to walk around with a gap in my teeth that would rob me of my award-winning smile.
