Title: Storm Cat Euthanized at Age 30
Post by: caveman on April 24, 2013, 11:35:20 AM
n central Kentucky where thoroughbred breeding and racing are so important Storm Cat was in class by himself. Late this morning W.T. Young’s Overbrook Farm announced that Storm Cat was euthanized at the age of 30 due to what they described in a release as “complications from infirmities of old age”.

storm was indeed a great sire but i think the articl does not give his sire northern dancer enuff credit
back in dancer's days they limitied his bok to 40-60 mares where storm cat ended up in the 80-100 range and should haves sired more winners.
at one point dancer's stud fee was in the $750-$1mill no guarantee range
they even offered over $20million to buy at the age of 20.
dancer is what got me interestes in tbred bloodlines
