Well if all the Thursday cards were going to look like this one, then they can do without them.

Well I'll be home all night so I'll make some picks as we go.

Race 1 I'll go with #5 Keystone Cocoa. Parked the mile last time and only missed 2nd by a couple lengths. This field seems a bit weaker, most of the horses that look like they can go as fast are coming off layoffs.

That horse had a perfect trip and barely held on.

Race 2 I'll go with #7 Laguna Beach. Been improving for Allard, so if Simon can actually not park him the whole mile this week maybe he'll have a chance. I feel like this 6 will be over bet after last week's win. Perfect trip with Laguna Beach and Cane Ridge battling the whole mile, and now 2nd start away from Allard could be a negative. There really isn't a whole lot in here though.

Nice drive there by David to go three wide and open up with Hopskipandajump before Laguna Beach could get out. Nice drive at 75/1 by Miettinis.

Well Mark Lewis should have just kept going, but it is Mark Lewis. The list of drivers driving there is embarrassing.

I don't like anyone in here. I think I'd go with a price shot in #6 Ideal Revenue just off the driver change from Ben Stafford to David Miller.

Now you have Joe Hanney, Jim Miettinis, Jim Marshall and Marcus Miller all in this race.

I don't know how you can play this. Joe Hanney just misses winning at 58/1, and now Bongiorno wins at 44/1.

Really too bad Timmy was able to slide out in front of Bongiorno....I play If I Didn't Care every week and had him singled in the pick 4. $2885 sure would have been nice for us both.

The bottom line is no slots=no BigM.  How can the No1 track in Harness race only 2 days a week and expect massive support  by horsemen?  Race your good stock here and your junk somewhere else?
Absolutely I prefer betting mile tracks.  Many do.  But if you can't race 3-4 days a week I just can't get into it.  When I first retired 12 years ago, Chicago raced 7 days a week and the Big M raced 5 days, Tues. tru Sat.  I would go to the track 2-3 days a week.  Now I'm down to 1 day.  Soon I may be down to 1 day 3 months a year.
