after a quick start last week..the last few races were a thumbsdown leading to a loss..looking for a better result tonight:
Race 1 - #1 All Dune - decent effort in a much needed start..moves in and not a lot of speed outside him..hope hes leaving for position tonight..using with 8,10,5
Race 2 - #6 Arch Villain - drops and moves to AA barn.2nd lasix as well...using with 2,5,7
Race 3 - #1 Squonk - drops to meet softest in a while..heavy chalk looks tough to beat..using with 3,4,5
Race 4 - #6 One Last Chance - shuffled back against better..fits better with these..using with 1,3,7
Race 5 - #9 Shipps Con - needs a live outer flow but s been finishing well..using with 4,2,3
Race 6 - #5 Bell Valley Bill - last seemed to be a wakeup call and Smolin has had sucess with him in the past..using with 4,6,8
Race 7 - #5 W White Comet - closer drops to meet easier..just needs a trip..using with 2,4,8
Race 8 - #1 & 1A - powerful entry..either can win..using with 5,9,2
Race 9 - #5 Peck Blue Chip - price shot had early action last week and ran good..some toughies to beat but price should be right..using with 1,2,4
Race 10 - #3 Park Lane Deputy - no Elmo and he should be close up for a decent trip..using with 1,4,7
Race 11 - #5 Old Man River - drops an important notch..using with 1,6,10
Race 12- #6 Willow Gram - live outer flow should help her here..using with 2,5,4
Race 13 - #7 Look Ma No Hands - overdue for a win..this field lacks depth..using with 5,1,9
good luck all

I enjoy reading these carefully graded (!) picks with the comments. Reminds of the old tip sheets (Red sheet, Green sheet, Black sheet) in Chicago and the picks with comments we'd see in the newspapers.....remember Sulky Sam in the Daily News for example?

...remember Sulky Sam in the Daily News for example?
Wow, that's a jolt from the past! Sulky Sam! Actually I would read the American more than the Daily News. Both were Afternoon papers for you youngsters out there. The good old days, when the only way to make a bet was to go to the track. If you couldn't go, you would start calling your circle of friends to see if one could make a bet for you If you had a horse in you would buy all the papers to see where your horse was selected. Think the papers were only 10 cents back then.

Glad I could jog the memory, Hal! Yes Sulky Sam, and the graded picks in the Chicago American (I was a paper boy and delivered for the Daily News and American). Mike Paradise used to have his picks in the Tribune and also Larry Hammel, remember??
