Title: Gas Prices, Again
Post by: The Skipper on February 01, 2013, 08:07:23 AM

Why are the oil/gas companies allowed to rape us like this ? Gas has gone up 60 cents a gal in the last

week by me. Now we have so much oil that we are exporting it to keep the prices inflated, I guess

that the election is over it's  birdienana birdienana birdienana birdienana birdienana birdienana

I figured earlier this week the gas just went up because it was nicer outside, so they figured everyone would get gas while they wouldn't freeze.

I heard it was just in the midwest.

Hey I don't mind.  The government needs the money.  Everybody knows they get a bigger chunk of your gas dollars than the oil companies.  Just think of all the extra good the government can do with that money!  I hope they use it to fight global warming!

Isnt it funny how the medias narrative that the gas companies are evil has worked?

But the Government is just looking out for you.

The death of the free and honest media is really the end of it. More so than even the crappy government.

In the words of our favorite, wide bottomed, ex-secretary-of-state,
"What difference does it make". Meaning that the government will get it one way or another.

Prices went up 10 cents a gallon in Arkansas Mon-Tues and went up where I am in Indiana right now (Vincennes) by 20 cents from Thur-Fri. Oil is up, but not that much.

Went up 60 cents here. the cut the oil companies and the gas stations is miniscule compared to the government's cut. And the politicians don't do squat to produce it;in fact stand in the way very often. And the press covers for  the pols.

I guess there was a fire in a refinery in toledo.  Not sure how it warrants that big of a jump.

If the wind blows over 5mph in the ocean that's a reason for them to raise the prices. I heard a week

or so ago that this is when they do maintenance on the refineries so there is less gas which equals

higher prices, then after that's done they have to start making the cleaner/summer blend in our area

so that will jack it up also. I'm guessing $4.50 a gal by Memorial day.   hammerhead1
