A regular race-goer at Scioto Downs when he is in his native Columbus, Ohio, Nicklaus and his partners, trainer-driver Bill Evilsizor and Columbus veterinarian Dr. Lowell Ripley have applied for registration of The Golden Bear Stables. Bervaldo, which qualified at Freehold in 2:102/5, is currently awaiting his first start at the Willi-am Penn meeting at Liberty Bell Park.
