Title: My Hunting Trip
Post by: Just Saying on November 21, 2012, 02:53:58 PM
I shot my 1st Thanksgiving turkey today with my Remington 870 Wingmaster 12 ga shotgun. Scared the living shit out of the people at the grocery store.

Happy Thanksgiving everybody!

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Enjoy your blessings while you have them!  We know not what tomorrow brings.

Am having 26 over for dinner.  Wife and daughter have been working hard.  I'm going back to sleep as I was out late at the track last night.  A guy has to get his beauty rest. 8) 8) 8)

We will only  have 10-12 today. Turkey one went in the smoker about 8:30 AM (bourbon brined). Turkey two goes into the oven about 11:30- dry rub.
Just about ready for my first glass on pinot noir. If I have 3-4 by the time the in-laws get here, the day should be just fine. rflmao1
(I am kidding)

Be safe if you are traveling and everything in moderation! Or at least almost everyhting.

thanks, we'll get there

we ate good today, too good, I have to get on the stationary bike soon, I forgot what real food tasted like other than those yummy self heating meals

looks like we're adding another temporary guest tomorrow who is homeless

while we no longer have use of 1/3rd of our home and are missing one car, I don't like hearing anyone who has no place to sleep, nothing to eat and no heat so we keep getting welcome guests

we'll share our home with folks who are in need

we finally received one insurance appraisal, the good hands people, it was slightly better than I thought it would be, the real one is the flood policy and it is administered by the Federal government, while everyone sells them they are underwritten by the government as nobody can afford the risk of what just happened

if or when this claim settles I will have a crew in to rebuild as soon as possible and upgrade to prepare for the worse case scenario to never have to deal with this scenario again

I don't believe it can ever get worse than it was
