 a campaign to drive the drug gangs out of the city's slums, where traffickers often ruled unchallenged. The city of Rio de Janeiro has more than 1,000 shantytowns where about one-third of its 6 million people live.
  This is from an article about Police in Rio taking over control of a slum  "one-third of its 6 million people" live in slums.  I've never been to Brazil, but I've seen the slums in other lLatin countries. It ain't pretty folks. The OWS gang should go there and straighten them out.

That was an article you are not likely to see written by the lefties at Arianna's HuffyPst.
I lived in Barquisimeto, Venezuela for two years. Want to see "poor' and/or "poverty"? We don't have any here if you compare our welfare moms to the people struggling. now under Huuugo.
