It may have been better for them to stay #2 until the championship game.

but congrats to them staying undefeated.

Might be the first #1 ranked team thats a double digit underdog in the national championship game .

Alabama will steam roll the Irish .

Just like Oklahoma was going to? I am not saying they will beat Alabama, but I do know there Defense will keep them in the game. And Alabama is no lock to beat Georgia in the SEC title game.

if this game were to take place this coming weekend  no way would the irish be double digit dog
the books would be so overflowed with action on the irish they would get killed on the game
this game is at worst the irish -3 pts
the irish lead the country with the least pts allowed

Actually they would be. It was on college gameday yesterday. Bama would open as a 10 1/2 point favorite. And Bama and the Irish are tied at giving up the least amount of points per game at 11.1

thanks buddy
i knew nd was tied before yesterday's game with giving up the least pts but did not know with who so i figured after yesterday's shutout they were on top

i may turn out to be an idiot but if the irish are double digit dogs in the title game i will be firing away on them

They said on ESPN this morning that the bookmakers in Vegas would have Alabama -10 if the game were to be played tomorrow .

Bama -11

Best 3 teams in the country all play in the SEC
Georgia and LSU being the others

Notre Dame in for a long night assuming they beat the Trojans

Georgia gets a legit shot in that title game

Vegas has them at -7.5 over ND

Alabama definitely had it a lot easier then LSU this year. Alabama only had to play LSU and Texas A&M, and should have probably lost both those games. Meanwhile LSU had to play Alabama, Texas A&M, Florida, and South Carolina.

Alabama beat at the time #8 Michigan 41-14  #11 Miss St 38-7  #5 LSU 21-17 and lost to #15 Texas A&M

LSU played one more ranked team but lost (@Home)  head to head against Alabama

Pretty safe to say Alabama is the better team.

I know one thing, there is a nightmare looming for the BCS if Notre Dame loses to USC.  What's left is the winner of the SEC and a big mess at #2.  If Stanford wins Saturday they would go to the PAC 12 title game, leaving Oregon out.  Florida did not win its own division of SEC and K St just got blown out by Baylor and has no title game to play in. So who is #2, two teams in Oregon and Florida, who did not win their conferences', K St, who took a bad loss at Baylor, Notre Dame who just lost to a 4 loss USC team without its starting quarterback, or somebody else??

I never said LSU was a better team then Alabama, just that they had a tougher schedule. Michigan was a preseason #8, just like USC was a preseason #1, we all saw how that worked out. They both played and beat now unranked Miss St, they played all the same SEC games except for 2. Alabama's 2 different games were against Tennessee and Missouri, a combined 2-12 in the SEC. LSU's were against Florida and South Carolina, a combined 13-3. That's 2 more games that could have been potential losses if they were on Alabama's schedule instead of playing the 2 cake walk teams they had.
