Post by: AmyHollar on November 16, 2012, 01:59:13 PM: I didn't feel like posting about this on Facebook yet until I know more but we need some well wishes and prayers that her hip isn't broke. Yearling filly took her for a ride today and I don't know all the details other than she was loaded in the ambulance and hauled to the hospital a few minutes ago.

Rest of the family is on the way there and Pa is with her.

Mutter is in a lot of pain or at least was until she got doped up. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her as well as hopes for a speedy recovery.

But my Ma is pretty freaking tough.

We met her on our 1st Jug trip, and she and all the family treated us like family. Wonderful Lady.

Tell her to take all the meds the docs give her and eveb beg for more, but to hoard those meds for those of us who really hurt....

Broke leg right below rt hip joint.(thighbone I suppose) i guess it's the best part to break. not broke in joint. sharp clean break. said I had excellent bone density . just put 3 screws in to put it back together. doc said 4 to 6 wks be as good as new. I got clipped by jog cart and flipped on the edge of a railroad tie beside the blacksmith shop behind my barn. I am very fortunate. not much pain. Perocets control it just fine and I'm only taking a couple of them a day so I will have plenty left over for Amy's consumption. It's the least I can do for her playing nurse for me for the next couple weeks. well My grandkids are anyway.
Thanks for the well wishes. I appreciate them. I am truly blessed with wonderful family and friends. I appreciate and love them so.
