Put On A Show is entered in the BC Open. This is the first time a mare has competed in the Open. She takes on:
Aracache, Bettor Sweet, Foiled, Foreclosure, Golden Receiver, Hypnotic, Razzle Dazzle, UTC and WWS. Post positions haven
-
Competing in the Open Trot will be:
Chapter Seven, Commander Crowe, Arch, Hot Shot, Daylon and Herbie.
-
Unless he draws way outside I love Bettor Sweet. Really sharp right now. He and Foiled are the best of this group, then Aracache and Golden, then the rest.
-
I give put on a show a shot in here. Besides cheddar, the group has been inconsistent. He is done for the year so why not take a shot.
-
kudos to the owners of putting on a show for taking a shot thumbsup
sad to see the short field in the aged trot,i know ch7 looks like a standout but still 4pezz2

The HOY race is open, so why not try the boys. Show holds a WR withr her :47.3 race mark. She won the Lady Liberty and Spring Of Hope this year, but is a little short on stakes wins. Most of her wins have come in F&M opens. She ranks sixth in the mixed leader board for Money earned.
Fortunately for her the other mares have been splitting the stakes wins up: DTB won the Allerage Mare; Rocklamation won the Matchmaker; Anndrovette won the Roses Are Red; Royal Cee Cee won the Betsy Ross; Rebeka won the Golden Girls; Dreamfair Eternal won the Artiscape.
There are eleven entered in the Mare Pace. This is a way for her to distinguish herself from that group, and maybe vault ahead of CMO and Treacherous with a big time performance.

I have to disagree i think shes going to get her bridle jerked off.
She won't get a check .....imo

She hasn't been that dominant lately against the mares. I think the bear cats rip the guts out of her.

On Saturday Woodbine is offering a BC prep for the open pacers, similar to what they had last year. It consists of a mix of BC eligibles and local open horses. Foiled came first up at the half to win it last year. In that race Campbell had the rail with Bettor Sweet. He took back to fourth at the start, and sat in and got shuffled back when Foiled came first over at the half.
The following week Bettor Sweet was a different horse, leaving for position third and going first up at the half. WWS and Foiled were close to getting to him but they ran out of racetrack. Aracache was also raced hard in that prep. David Miller is behind BS now, but how BS is raced in this prep is the trainer

I'm liking Panther Hanover for next week, that was only his 2nd race since August 12th, which should only make him better. Post 5 is perfect, he can grab a seat or go to the lead.

Is Mohawk close to Woodbine? I see on the draw sheet that some are in retention at each track... so it would seem they are near each other.
What a fine group of horseflesh! ...and going for a total of $6.1 million. Should be quite a show. (just wait 'til the politicians see that much money to steal)
