Let's stop all road building also.  Show me one road that is good for the environment.  That "damage the environment" claim is really hogwash. anything man builds can be said to damage the environment.  We should take steps to do as little damage as we can,within reason.  When those bulldozers show up to build the next school, hospital or church in your  area, I expect you to lead the protests.

Many moons ago when I was a little boy in school, osmosis was taught to us, versus today's political indoctrination. We were taught how we breathe in oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide, which is the absorbed by trees and plants, which they need to thrive, and then they expel oxygen for us to breathe.

Now carbon dioxide is declared a danger and must be severely taxed so that politicians can use the cash to to piss away on pet projects that garner votes.

What could go wrong? shootme

If worried about the entire planet it would probably be better to drill in the US than some of the other places to get oil.

I did to school.

It was a 20 mile round trip to get to the bus station.

The buses don't run all night so it was a 30 mile round trip to get to the rapid station (our train) when I had evening classes.

I live around .8 miles from work, some days I can walk but most there is either snow on the ground or too hot for me to be presentable in front of clients.
