Today is 11-11-11 and the state lotteries are cashing in.

Because of short fields, race tracks are at a disadvantage. There are very few races with an eleven-horse. I suppose you could bet 1-1 doubles, 1-1-1-1 pick-4's, or 1-1-1-1-1-1 pick-6's.
I have another idea for the "numbers" players out there.
Being a former math teacher, today's date, looks suspiciously like a binary number to me. If you convert 111111 to base ten, you get the number 63. There you have it; an exacta that can be played in every race today! rflmao1

here in illinois, they stopped selling the pick 3 and pick 4 lottery tickets this morning cause so many people were playing 1-1-1 and 1-1-1-1 I have never heard of this

I think they did that before when a plane crashed, people were playing the
flight number so much they stopped selling tickets.
Think it was flight 191 that crashed in 79.

I gave a co-worker a few dollars to do this but told him to stop on his way home from work yesterday as I suspected they would stop selling those.

Also when the hostages were freed from Iran after 444 days. If I remember correctly 444 did hit somewhere (not IL)

I was watching a game of cricket on the tele. When the big electronic clock struck 11:11 am everything stopped and everyone stood on one leg for a few seconds. Don't know the significance of that. I also noticed that South Africa needed exactly 111 runs to win the game at that exact moment.
Coincidence?
