Title: Balmoral Super Night Selections/breakdown
Post by: Mags on September 14, 2012, 08:53:55 PM
heres my selections/comments on the super night card..weather should be clear/lets go

Race 1 - #5 Maevey Gravy - Erv Miller trainee has been sharpest of this group until last weeks race.I'm assuming she will be much sharper tonight..using with 1,7,8
Race 2 - Looks like a two horse race to me as far as winning goes..logic says #3 Riccolo whose dominated these earlier this year..if hes not sharp off the small layoff #7 Vaporstar has been sharpest lately..using 37 with 1,2,6

Race 3 - #8 Ogs Marie D - runs her best races off the pace and thats where she will be in here/slight edge on #10 Kissed By The Sun ..using 8,10 with 1,3,9

more to follow in the morning

Race 4 - #3 Mystical Victress- never seems to lose a big money race at Balmoral and her elimination race was super impressive. Pace should be lively for her off the pace run...using  with 6,7,8

Race 5 -  #9 FV SWift - faces easier and has speed for position..edge in a toughie..using with 2,3,8
Race 6 - #5 Sleazy Does It -  should follow up Mjs Bid and may be able to rundown the speed. #4 Party Hangover will be tough to catch with lead or 2 hole but #1 & 7 should be leaving hard ..using 5 with 1,4,8

Race 7 - #1 Butterfly Kisser - would have qualified for the big final but broke in stretch..has rail and is in easy..should win if stays flat..using with 2,3,4

Race 8 - #2 FV Ruby - taking a shot here as I liked her last race as she showed speed for the 1st time. They ran a 1.00 middle half so she couldnt gain on #8 and the up front trip I think was to get ready this week..#8 & #9 should get a lot of money..using 29 with 1,8,10

Race 9 - #5 Rockin Rumble - throw out last in the slop and his form is impeccable..looking to go wire to wire and this horse digs in when challenged..using with 2,8,9

Race 10 - #2 SS Tommy Turner - rough trip in last as he had to grind too far..moves in and these are easier..still needs a cover trip I believe..using with 1,6,8

Race 11 - #5 Als Hammered -love this horse and pp should set up a cover trip for this big closer..its a tough race but 25 and change closes aren't seen too often..#8 is a nice horse but theres speed inside of him so pace will be quick.using 58 with 2,3,9

Race 12 - #5 Iam Bonasera - best horse on the grounds and while I'd like to beat him..I just cant see it..#2 Intheblinkofaneye ran huge and I would normally like him alot..using with 1,8,10

Race 13 - #7 Checkout My Body - nice tightner and will be up close has to avoid a bad shuffle job though #8 Crankin it up finished full of run but always seems to  get a troubled mile..using 7 with 168

Race 14 - #2 FV Action - consistent and experienced..love the way he responded when mildly asked for more..is inside and will be up close before the half. #7 Mystical Walter got easy fractions but almost beat my top pick at Duqoin..he also should be leaving..outside shot #4 Big Brad- lacks experience but if top 2 tangle this horse is game..using 27 with 3,4,6

good luck everyone

Looks like the big stakes races will be kind of chalky and the consolations may offer some value.

Race 1.  #1 Powerful Star- she has been on the improve while #5 Maevey Gravy is heading South.  Either could win.
Race 2 #3 Riccolo- should win  #7 Vapostar- on a roll, could continue, but somehow I don't think so.
Race 3  #3 She's Automatic- maybe Simon can crank her up.  #8 OG'S Marie D- very consistent  #1 Toshie Special-bigger chance against this bunch.
Race 4  #3 Mystical Victress- race on Aug 25 showed guts.  My first chance to get my picture taken. 8) 8) 8)
Race 5 #4 Willow Grahm- should be off at good odds.  #2 Moment Of magic-rough trip last  #9 Fox Valley Swift-can crank it up at times.
Race 6 #1 No Respect- earns some tonight!  #7 Fox Valley Hermia-good effort last  #4 Party hangover-on a major roll
Race 7  #1 Butterfly Kisser-miscue free is the key  #2 Nice Party-rapidly improving, will it be enough tonight?
Race 8  Maybe the toughest race to cap.  #10 Special Rose-will need a wee bit o luck from out here, but---can beat these  #9 A uniqueaquisition-reallly a nice looking young'en  #3 Mystical Danica- expect better tonight  #1 Thasnk You Doc-tries, could get there
Race 9 #5 Rockin Rumble- will make amends
Race 10  #1 Peachy's Pistol-moves in  #2 SS Tommy Turner-can turn it on andgets better post #8 Yankee Doodle Jim-better than record indicates  #7 Dave's Bid-power move last
Race 11 Tough race but #5 Al's Hammered looks best use with 1-2-3-4-8
RAce 12  #5 I Am Bonasera- looks like slam dunk
Race 13  #7 Checkout My Body-likes to win
Race 14  #7 Mystical Walter- looks like anothe snap for me. 8) 8) 8)

Good Luck All!! 8) 8)

Super night ? What a joke ! If I had anything to do with Balmoral management I would be ashamed to show

my face, what a joke. I think the only gamblers left there are 10 cent to $1.00 bettors because anyone with

any brains would avoid that place at all costs. I would rather watch paint dry and as a matter of fact I'm

going to bed to watch TV with the Mrs , at least it'll be nice and warm and maybe I'll catch a few good

commercials which are much more exciting. I'm just sorry I wasted 3 1/2 hours to watch 9 sorry ass

races.  hammerhead1 hammerhead1 hammerhead1

I have to ask Mags if he found his brain yet next time I see him. I know I haven't found mine.  Sure looked liked Al's Hammered flattened OO's tire when he puled out.  That's an auto DQ.  Guess they couldn't tell for sure from the tape.
At any rate, I had a good time.  Would have had a better time if I picked the right long shots. rflmao1

The only way he could of flattened his tire was if he hit it with his foot, and if that happened, he would of more that likely broke. Watched the replay 5 times, and he doesn't touch it.

Nice hit Tross! bowdown

I watched the replays also, including the ones they showed at the track.  You really coundn't tell one way or the other from the angles they had.  That is why he wasn't taken down.  I guess it was just a coincidence.

Pezz,
The start of the races was crazy , the delay was someone had gotten on the track with his hummer and did 2 laps around the track before security got him stopped. The driver was drunk as a skunk!!

I heard the start was delayed because Arlington Park was not finished yet I have no idea why that would

affect Balmoral  idunno The hummer on the track could have been a horrible situation thank goodness

no one got hurt but how could they let that happen ? The interviews they did they got half way through

with them and then started showing the replay from the previous race when they had at least a good

20 minutes to show the replays. I also think it was the worst super night in history as far as the quality

of horses other than RICCOLO, MYSTICAL VICTRESS, AL'S HAMMERED and IAM BONASERA and no way

to get paid with them horses ( except for tross  thumbsup )  I went years (well over 35) without missing

one night of live racing and hey if you like it and make money good for you but for me and my money

I would rather put it to better use, to each their own.
