Warrawee Needy finished sixth in a seven horse field in an OSS Gold Final at Rideau Carleton tonight. Jamieson left with Needy, but had to draw back into the fourth slot. He challenged the winner, Michaels Power, up the back, but got nowhere, and faded down the stretch in the 50.2 mile.
Needy is winless in nine 2012 starts, and has earnesd less than 100K. He finished tenth in the NA Cup, ninth in the Canadian Breeders and fifth in the Confederation Cup.
He did win a qualifier at Mohawk by 31 lengths in 49.1
He's a huge disappointment.
