Wasn't a standardbred, but still a horrible story.
Happened today, just outside of Saratoga Springs.

Darn shame that someone trying to help lost their life.  redrose

Sometimes you'll read where a kid in a baseball game will take a line-drive to the chest and their heart will stop. So sad.
