Title: Jefferson, Ohio fair starts Thursday

What a great fair. I urge everyone in the area to go out to the Jefferson, Ohio fair this week.

Nine races thursday, and every single horse except one should be picking up a check. There is one six-horse field, three five-horse fields, one four-horse fieldtwo three-horse fields, and two two-horse fields.

My main man Don McKirgan has a third place check all wrapped up with his own horse I Wanta Zenyatta (unless he screws it up somehow).

When does your Ohio Fair outing start, Gary? I know you'll have a blast. Can't run the water truck over Michigan Dale this year. (technically, I guess you can't drown him)

25 horses to fill 9 races tomorrow at the Cuyahoga County fair.What's up with that?

I will be in Columbus, Ohio on September 8th, Lexington, KY on the 9th, then to Wooster for the start of the fairs on Monday the 10th. Think I am staying till October 4th, or till I get too cold and am forced back to civilization.  ;D

scojer, I did not even see BErea's entries until you mentioned this. What a great way for the owners to make money! If they could race the different divisions on different days, an owner could clean up with a rat!

I live right up the road from Berea fairgrounds,i can assure you that i wont be in the grandstands tomorrow..I guess the fair racing is in worse shape than Northfield...

I was just up at RMS Aquaculture getting some fish for my niece

Enjoy guys!   I love the county fairs here in NY.
Most of it is the appeal of all the junk food surrounding but the racing and hanging out with friends cannot be denied.  thumbsup
