As a businessman, I know I can spend earnings but I can't spend prestige. I'll always take the route that makes me the most money. The Ford dealership won't let me pay for a new truck with prestige.

They didn't race him in the BC last year, but we'll probably see him in this year's edition. His one start outside the NYSS last year was the Matron and he's staked to that again this year.

Looks like they're trying to grab the easy money in New York while concurrently building some prestige around the edges.

Bettor's Edge is the Toscano colt that races in the opens--SBSW, NA Cup, M Pace and Adios. Brittany owns him, while Jacobs owns HBC.

HBC goes in a 12.5 elimination for the Empire Breeders' Classic today at Tioga. Last year the final, which was held in late May, went for 290K. It was the high-point of the season for Fashion Delight, who was plagued by health issues for the rest of the season. That was the Roadside Delight/detention barn/Nifty Norman race.
