Title: Mark Saporito hurt in Maywood spill.
Post by: Hugh Jass on October 15, 2011, 11:02:33 AM

Prayers for a speedy recovery for Mark, he has been driving here as long as I can remember.

Mark  went down in Maywoods 14th race last night and has a broken collar bone among

other bumps and bruises and he is no spring chicken. Get well soon !

I know Johnny "THE ROCKET" Roberts went down also but he is fine along with all horses involved.

Speedy recovery to Mark.
Thought I read on another forum that there were other serious injuries including a fractured hip ?  Hopefully, your account is accurate.
Get well soon Mark.

That could be true I just posted what was texted to me last night. I've known Mark for years

Ponytail Kim posted that Mark's hip socket is shattered and he will be in the hospital for some time. He can't have any weight on that joint for at least 6 weeks. Since his collar bone is broken he can't use crutches, so he's going to have a slow complicated recovery. I sure wish him the best, that's tough hand he was dealt.

Sorry to hear latest report.  With all the new modern devices, therapy and great meds I hope he bounces back quickly.
