I knew Raceway Park was going to be moved, but didn't know Scioto would be moved also.
-
This is probably something Corwin Nixon would have loved to live to see-his baby moving to a bigger, newer, beautiful location. Corwin Nixon was southern Ohio harness racing, and also a huge influence on the entire sport.

It's not Scioto moving Hal. It's Lebanon.

Sorry, thought Lebanon was near Cincy and Scioto was near Columbus.

They are moving two tracks. Beulah Park in Grove City (near Columbus), and Lebanon, which is near Cincy.
Scioto is Ohio's Showplace of racing. It's not moving. Scioto is owned by Mountaineer Gaming.

What will happen to the Beulah Twins? Is Scioto doing well? I own stock in Mountaineer.

Scioto handle is way up since slots were put in...which is why MTG is up as well. ;D

Oops, I was badly mistaken. It is indeed Raceway Park that will relocate to Dayton-this after I had been informed by supposedly very good sources that Lebanon was moving there.

I dunno. I talked to the guy who told me that Lebanon was moving up to Dayton and he swears he thought he told me Raceway was moving to Dayton.
I guess we have a failure to effectively communicate. Of course I do suffer from a traumatic brain injury so maybe he told me Raceway and I heard Lebanon. ??? ???

It is a great thing in tough times, when will Illinois learn?

My opinion, and I don't often post political points of view but...
The liberals want our money, a lot of people enjoy gambling, when not just give places to gamble legally and safely and slowly but surely they get the money they want all the while giving some folks a place to work.
I know some people gamble money they need for other things, that isn't the casino or horse track fault.
I wish we could attract the people back to harness racing unfortunately things like that Yonkers DQ on Friday have ruined it for many...

I thought Lebanon was moving along 75 North of Dayton and Bulah was moving along 75 South ? 4pezz2

What track is going in Sharon, Ohio?

Raceway and Lebanon are both moving to the Dayton area.....Beulah is going to the Youngstown area.

There ya go. that's right 4pezz2 why would we have 2 harness tracks north and south of dayton? oh well.

I had my doubts that OH would ever get slots but it's happening.
Good Luck to all in the business who stuck around hope the future is bright for the industry.
Also goes to show how sad thig are in IL

Tross ,
I only hope I am still around if Illinois gets gaming , I would love to land a decent paying job doing something I enjoy. I would strive to make things better for the fans, bettors and horsemen.
