Title: Mohawk Sat - NA Cup Night!
Post by: CyberChamp on June 16, 2012, 08:54:28 AM
The early bird gets the worm, but what does the early worm get???   rflmao1

20-cent supers all night!  Good luck, all!

Here's my breakdown of tonight's card:

R1 - 10,7       4,9,1,2
R2 - 1,4       5,7         3
R3 - 3,4      2     9,8     7,10
R4 - 1,3    9,10    4,5,6
R5 - 4,3,7    2,8     6,1($)
R6 - 3,4,7,9    6   1($),8($)
R7 - 4    8,7     3,2,5
R8 - 5,6     1,3($),7,8
R9 - 5,3,4    9,1,7    6
R10 - 3,4,8     7    2
R11 - 4($),2,9,1,5,10,3   (wide open race)
R12 - 1,4    2,3,7,9   10
R13 - 2,10,8,3     9,6

NA Cup thoughts: I expect A ROCKNROLL DANCE, WARRAWEE NEEDY, and SIMPLY BUSINESS to all blast out of the gate at the start.  PET ROCK will also try to leave to move up a few spots.  I expect somebody to get parked out, so hopefully Palone can avoid traffic with SWEET LOU and make the top by the half.  THINKING OUT LOUD was parked the mile last time and still offered some good late charge.  I think TIME TO ROLL and THINKING OUT LOUD are the live bombers here.  WARRAWEE NEEDY won't win this.

Race 4  1-3-9-10--looks like Champ got it right   rflmao1

Race 5  #3 Knows Nothing- almost a slam dunk  #4 Market share- very impressive last

RAce 6  #3 Cina Pearls- can avoid dead heat and win outright?  #4 Pembroke Heatwave-coming around #6 CedarDove- short last week

RAce 7  Might as well not watch this one. #4 Sweet Lou has been declared the winner.Obviously the best in here, but I remember some sweet upsets in this race, so excuse me for passing on the 1/9.  #3 Time To Roll-should be flying at the end #5 Thinking Out Loud-huge effort last week  #8 Warawee Needy-needed last #9 Pet Rock- honest beast will need some racing luck from out here

Race 10-#3 Golden Reciever- didn't like HoP surface.  #4 Betterthancheddar-on a roll#6 Allthatgltrisgold- should get nice odds.  #8 WeWill See-we will won't we.

Race 11 #1 Audrey's Dream-driver change  #9 Machal Jackson-nice effort last

RAce 12  #1 JAckets Required- drops, moves in

RAce 13  #2 Doin Time Together-overdue  #6 High Def ZTam-bad shake last #9 Lost In Panslation-may be braver tonight
GoodLuck All  8) 8) 8)

Man Maven was flying, they better keep Check me out against the girls, real nice horse, but I don't think she can beat the boys.

That horse's ass Takter had Guccio off the gate at the start and wound up ninth leaving while Jackie Mo--outside of him with half the horse--hits the top before the turn with his 99-1 shot. Guccio was still ninth at the half. What a disgrace.

This was shaping up as a race where the public had no idea what to do. I said to myself, "Where is Pierce? He is something else when the big money is on the line.

That was great when the ditz conducting the post-race interviews said, " Ron, what was the turning point in the race for you?" With Sears that question would be fine, but not Pierce.

It was a bit of a surprise to see Gingras carry JJ well into the turn in that hot 25.1 opening quarter......Palone moved at the precise time that he had to move. Can't fault him for Lou losing.

Lou's elimination
26   53   1:20.1   1:47.4

Tonight's race
25.1   52.4   1:20.3   1:47.4

Needy went backwards in a big hurry.

48.2 by Jewel and 47.4 by TOL. What do the boys in the 10th race open go? Bigtime Ball, Golden Receiver and Aracache aren't exactly shrinking violets out of the gate. The Cup field left in 25.1. What happens here?
