Title: Illinois Gaming Bill passes Senate..here we go again
Post by: Mags on May 31, 2012, 08:55:53 PM
By a 30-26-3 vote the illinois senate approved more gaming and slots at the tracks. Its now up to Quinn to decide whether or not to veto..in a interesting twist Sen Link entered another bill that would help control campaign contributions from gambling interests which was one of Quinns major problems with the bill so lets see what Genius Quinn does now..good luck to all horsemen

Quinn will, IMHO,veto the bill.  He is bought and paid for by the casino interests.  They won't do anything about the pension mess either.  The pensions are under funded due to the state not making their required contributions over many decades.  Now, it is time to pay the piper--and surprise! it's everyone elses fault!!!!  They try and make the retirees look like the bad guys while they had no choice but to contribute up to 10% or more of their pay.  Now they want school districts to pay the states share!  Watch property taxes go sky high since that is where they get their tax revenue. (the districts already pay an equal share for pensions)  But---we don't need any filthy casino revenue, no siree.

Hal, I agree that Quinnochio is bought and paid for. As dumb as he is, he was probably bought for a Sno-Cone. The man is a total idiot.  dorkusinterruptus
