Cheddar (1-9) stomps on a field of tomato cans for the third week in a row. He won in 49.4 on a wet and sloppy night. The second place finisher, and second choice in the betting, was Bigtime Ball (21-1). Alsace, who finished fourth, was the third choice at 50-1. It's never a good sign when the second choice is 21-1. The third place finisher, Sparky Mark, went off at 189-1. Time for Cheddar to face some competition..

Cheddar is missing from this week's Bettor's Delight which he's staked to. At least the racing secretary at Mohawk was too embarrassed to let Coleman enter him in the open for the third week in a row.
