How in the hell can you make any prediction right now??

The draft hasn't happened, Trades on draft day haven't happened and then the vets getting released for salray cap purposes that can really help other team. Not one roster in the NFL as it is now, will be the same for opening day!!!

What is even funnier, is that ESPN had a 3 hour show for it! Are you kidding me! Since the NHL ratings are thru the roof this year, Guess they needed something to have on since they were the ones that didn't want hockey. But yet, Hockey's ratings are killing the NBA  rflmao1

Browns had an opportunity last year to trade their "best" player, Josh Cribbs & instead Holmgren gave in to stupidity of fans.  Of course, most of you disagreed with that last year.  Now, like everyone else on Browns, except Joe Thomas, he's worthless.

Just like my Fins, keep making same mistakes & you'll keep getting the same lousy results.  Forget Richardson, you guys need a real QB, same here.

Bears 6-10 - funny.  They've improved their roster & that's a stout division.  10-6 is probably closer to reality.  Cutler will enjoy Marshall.  He wasn't arrested yet, right?

They have more than Joe Thomas, unless you meant just on the offensive side of the ball. If the Browns had an offense that could have stayed on the field, people would talk about how good their defense actually is.

Bottom line is Cribbs was the only guy they could've traded to actually get something.  I'm a big NFL fan but never, never watch the Browns.  I know they have a defense but probably can't name anyone.  Although I'm sure if I looked at the roster I'd say, yes of course, I forgot about Frank Minnifield!  idunno

If you never watch the team how do you know who would have trade value ?

Hey, they're not my team.  This is a quote from his last contract negotiation: "As this past season dragged on, Browns fans sided with Cribbs and some of them started a "Pay the Man" campaign."

In fact, guess who was the team talking trade?  You got it, the Dolphins, which prompted this Miami Herald article comment "the Browns are asking a second- or third-round pick for Cribbs".

If you never watch the team how do you know who would have trade value ?

With the NFL Ticket, there are a small handful of boring teams I just never watch.  I wonder how good their defense would be if opponents found themselves in "must score" situations.  Often, you only have to score 2 TDs so you play it conservative on offense.  So who on the Browns has trade value?

No doubt that division is strong.  As you've already recently experienced, injuries can be the difference.  Why would you get down on your team who looked good until Cutler & then Forte went down?  And now you have Cutler's favorite receiver.  Bears are very much in contention with a better chance than Detroit, whose defense is very vulnerable.  Packers no lock either.

On the defensive side

Joe Haden

Scott Fujita (for leadership)

TJ Ward

D'Qwell Jackson

On the offense Alex Mack is a pretty good center and would probably start for most teams.

Clay Matthews' value went down once GM got rid of the Pontiac brand.

Yeah they draft a 28 yr old QB that's going to be 29 when the season starts!!!! GREAT PICK AGAIN HECKERT AND HOLMGREN!!!! Now if you can give Richardson the ball 50 times a game you MIGHT win a game!!!! 4pezz2

Honestly, I don't know who's pick is worse, the Fins or the Browns.  By far the worst 2 picks in the top 10, IMO.  Other than lucking out with an Adrian Peterson you have to be nuts to focus on a RB for a top 10 pick, never mind a #3.  noway

Anyone notice the trend in the NFL that you need an adequate rushing game but a great passing game?  Best RBs in the league have been Chris Johnson, Peterson & before that, Tomlinson.  How many Super Bowl appearances?  This is NOT your father's NFL.

If he is good he can play for another 7 years.  Compared to the rest of Cleveland's QB's that will be a long time.   They should have signed a guy in free agency though instead of spending a first round pick on a QB.

And if he turns out to be another Adrian Peterson?  It's too early too tell if a pick was stupid or not.

Selecting a RB is stupid, especially for a team that is in dire need of a passing game & offense.  More likely he'll turn out to be a decent RB, like a Ronnie Brown, but not a star and even  stars like Peterson & Chris Johnson, they cannot carry the offense.  What don't you understand about this being a passing game?

arguing with you about football is like talking politics with Danville.

You stated you dont watch the browns yet you know all their needs. I've watched all the games, a good running back could have won them another 4 games. The wide receiver position is something that can be addressed in the second and third round. Which I am sure they will do.

I believe you also said I was crazy and didnt know what I was talking about when I said that the giants would beat the patriots people also disagreed when I said Denver would beat the Steelers because one hit would mess up roethlisberger.

I still think you're wrong about the Patriots-Giants game.  I mean, they're going to show a replay & I'm picking the Patriots!  shootme

As far as Denver goes, that never happened.  I've been working closely with Roger "Don't call me Eric" Goodell & he's going to wipe that out of the record book. idunno

Oh, one other thing you should know; I'm never wrong even when proven to be!  rflmao1

Browns do remind me so much of Miami in that they've made so many bad moves on draft day, with their only success being at the Tackle position.  Both are in dire need of a real QB but have decent enough defenses to stay with most teams.  Also, both GMs suck, IMO.  Holmgren was a fine coach & intimidated players into playing their best but he has pandered to the fans' pleas & that rarely works out.  But you guys have not had a decent QB since Bernie Kosar's skills deteriorated!  My wife still has her unworn Brady Quinn jersey.

BTW, I thought my "what don't you understand" remark was way out of line & undeserved.  I have a track friend from Cleveland who I do feel sorry for so I'm really not that heartless.  noway

He is the team Pres and if you don't think he is actually making the calls, then I have something to sell you  :D

He is making the picks in the draft and putting tis team together, and if they suck again, it won't be his fault, it will be his g.m's.

He was a good coach, but can't put a football team together.

I like the pick's of richardson and weeden. At the skilled position, this is all they have.

Mccoy in the 3rd round was an awful pick and that was Holmgrem's guy

Found this thread and thought it was funny to bring back up.

Haden- best D player, going to be suspended 4 games

Fujita- Suspended 2 for the bounty scandal with the Saints

Richardson- I think he is going to be a stud but had to have another surgery on his knee.

Them letting Weeden be the guy from the get go is going to work out for them in the long run. The kid they got from Baylor in the supplemental draft, is the real deal and will give them someone on the outside that can actually run routes and catch.

And the team has been sold since this thread was started! A good thing

And Cashman, no way no how the bears are 6-10. 11-5 minimum
