I do think most of the cars they sell here are made in Mississippi.  Toyota also has a large plant in the south.  You sure see a lot of them around.

Friend of ours owns a Hyundai dealership. He let me test drive a "Genisis" couple of weeks ago.
Just a bit under powered for a true "sportscar" but still a really nice car in it's handling characteristics and it's styling.
I go about 6'-2" and 210# and had more room in the drivers seat than I needed.
Similar to the early 1970's when Datsun (then) brought out somethig called a "240z". They are now great cars and this Genisis may have the same type of impact.

True Hal, and think that plant is right along Interstate 55 on the east side. It is a huge plant, just south of Jackson.

Hyundai's quality has really improved since 1986, when they first imported the Elantra. Those were not very good cars. But today is a totally different car, much better.

Really love my Hyundai Sonata, despite the fact that my son conned me into believing it was built in the USA. Only 6 cylinder Sonatas were built in the USA in 2007 and mine is a 4 cylinder that was built in S. Korea. Still a good car, but I prefer keeping American auto workers employed, even though the dumbasses endorsed Obama.

Did they have a target price on it Ryan? I noticed the license plate # was 17000, but it's way too posh for that.

There was a Genesis on Price is Right today.  Reminded me of the Tiburon in styling from a few years ago.

I have a Kia Optima, sporty dude but my husband has a hard time fitting in the drivers seat, He is 6' 4" 200lbs legs won't cram in there. Now he can ride in the passenger seat fine.
