Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs to host Grand Circuit Week beginning Tuesday (July 7)
Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs will be the site of Grand Circuit Week beginning Tuesday (July 7) with four divisions of the W.N. Reynolds Memorial Stake for three-year-old pacing fillies and a like number for two-year-old trotting colts and geldings.
A total of $881,000 in Reynolds purses will be paid out during the week.
On Wednesday night, there will be divisions of the three-year-old colt and gelding trot and two-year-old filly pacers. Friday night’s Reynolds action will feature two-year-old filly trotters and three-year-old colt and gelding pacers with Grand Circuit Week culminating at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs on Saturday afternoon (July 11) with two-year-old colt and gelding pacers and three-year-old filly trotters.
Reynolds races annually attract the top horsemen and horses from throughout North America. The races at the Northeastern Pennsylvania racetrack are named in honor of the late W.N. Reynolds, who was connected to the R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company and who also owned, trained and drove harness horses in his day.
