« on: February 25, 2012, 04:31:00 AM »
10th race , John Roberts horse goes down coming out of final turn. Him, Josh Sutton, Todd Warren, ans Marcus Miller all tossed onto the track.  Miller was Ok, drove rest of card.  Other 3 taken to hospital.  Warren was the worst off and unconscience.  Anyone gets any updates please post.

Three drivers were sent to hospital after an accident occurred in the final turn of 10th race at Maywood Park on Friday night.

Stylish Soiree N and John Roberts set off a chain reaction accident while storming three-wide to the lead after the three-quarter-mile mark. Just after clearing to the top, the Tom Harmer trainee appeared to take a bad step and went tumbling to the track leaving drivers Josh Sutton (Wating And Hoping), Todd Warren (Notjustaprettyface) and Marcus Miller (Bluebird Regal) with nowhere to go as the field bunched up heading towards the top of the stretch.

Miller walked away under his own power while Warren and Sutton were transported to Gottlieb Memorial Hospital via ambulance. Roberts also headed to the nearby hospital moments after the wreck had been cleared from the track. No further information on the conditions of the drivers was available as of press time.

All four horses involved in the spill were believed to be unhurt.

I just got off the phone with Ronnie Roberts.  John's got a banged up ankle, and one of the horses stepped on his bicep, so his arm is sore, too.  Back seems to be okay.

He thought Todd had a concussion.  Josh was on a backboard waiting for more xrays then they left the hospital.

A lousy day for Chicago racing. I hope these guys will heal up quickly.

According to Todd's daughter he is home sleeping and going to be sore..........and Josh's sister has posted he will probably have to stay another night in the hospital but nothing is broken.

I thought you weren't supposed to sleep after a concussion?  Or did Dexter lie?

I wish a speedy recovery to all of them, I hate to see anyone get hurt.

I don't think Dexter would want to "off" Todd.......maybe just an ex-wife.  ;D
