« on: January 11, 2012, 11:04:26 AM »
Looking through the pick 4 for tonight and I see #2 Queen of the nile owned by smolins girlfriend carrie parker and trained by his mother with oosting driving while smolin is driving the #5 right in ink for bob phillips... I know that when CARRIES horse won on 1/4 bobby was in the winners circle... What a joke!!

The whole family was in the winner's circle.  According to that kook at BTW, Smolin is part of the Oosting ":crime syndicate".    I 'm sure the Tetrick bros have driven against each other when one of them was on a dad trained horse and the other not.  Or, even dad driving his own while son or sons drove for another trainer.  This takes place all the time.  I trust Bobby will give it a go.

I've driven races against family members. Brothers Darryl & Tom Busse, Dave & Dean Magee, Ron Marsh and his Dad Joe Jr... to name a few. If it's a racing family, it's gonna happen. Tom, Tim, Trace, and "T" Tetrick have all driven against each other. I was in a 7 horse field at the Newton Fair, and was the only non-Finn in the race.

None of that means anyone is cheating.

Wonder if Robin Miller could drive a Hollar horse when Rosy has one in.  I don't think he can.

I didn't say they are cheating. I understand families race against each other quite often I just don't think it is in best interest of racing when your significant other owns a horse in the same race you are driving in. I believe if my wife owned a horse in a race it would be unethical for me to drive a different horse.  JMO

Can't do it at Northfield............family can drive against each other as long as they aren't sleeping together.............but as soon as you start sleeping with someone you have to drive their horse.

Wait.......................... :o

Let's see what happens....
Last race Sunday.  OO 1/5 driving  beaten by Casey at 14-1 both horses were previously trained by OO prior to his suspension...Now he trains none...Very interesting race and result, jmo.
I could have been a contender

Neither a factor unless you consider a 4th by Smolin on Phillips horse important.  His girlfriend's horse did not get a check.

So much for the joke.  rflmao1 rflmao1 rflmao1
