Vegas Vacation 2017 O/T
« on: November 26, 2016, 07:20:35 PM »
Hello everyone, was hoping to pick the minds of some of our esteemed posters who have traveled to Vegas recently. I havent been there for 20 years and this will be my first kid-less vacation with a buddy so I'd like to make some good decisions ..some questions I have:

1> Should I book everything myself or use a travel agent
2> Was leaning towards the Mirage or NYNY..good/bad
3> Best casinos to gamble at..note: Luv Craps but high minimums can go fast
4> Was going no car so whats best to use from airport to strip
5> Mostly going to be a gambling 4-5 days but maybe a show if highly recommended
6> Best Buffets

Any other comments/thoughts/suggetions much appreciated

Thanks Mags

No need for a travel agent. If you have a MGM or Caesars players card call them. Otherwise I see offers on Facebook all the time.  NYNY will be less expensive than mirage.  I always have a car.  Without one you are limited.  Best buffets on the the strip-  Bellagio, Aria, Wynn and Paris.  For value you have to go off the strip. All Station Casinos have decent
low price buffets.  Gambling is best wherever
You are lucky.   You have to go off strip to get lower minimums. Otherwise, 10-25 for table games.
I'm heading out there on Dec 4.  Will stay at

Bellagio.  The
Price was right. (Free).

Jazz and I were there recently.

Book yourself. If you join Total Rewards, you can get discounts. We got a comped room, less "resort fees" at Harrah's.

I've never enjoyed playing at Bellagio or some of the big casinos. Definitely get more "love" from the house at the smaller places.

Harrah's has always been good to me. Great location, center strip. I enjoy playing there.

For the discount player, Casino Royale gives you a lot of play for your dollar. Nothing fancy, but an energetic customer base that makes the atmosphere fun.

Lots of food value in Vegas, especially downtown. Don't be afraid to spend a good buck on high end food; it's cheaper than gambling and the food is worth talking about.

Shuttle bus rides to and from airport are cheap.

Your money is good everywhere. Don't force yourself to keep playing at a place that isn't fun or doesn't respect you.

Good luck!
