Dave Hawk passes away

Longtime Ohio horseman Dave Hawk passed away today after battling leukemia. Say what you will about Dave, but he was always a great horseman. One thing you can say is that he never ratted anyone out. Old school, stand up guy.

RIP Dave. He was always kind and helpful to me at Scioto many moons ago.  redrose  Sympathy to his  family .

Sincere sympathy to Dave's family.  Knew the man, but not real well.  Seemed like a affable fella to me......RIP

I worked for a trainer that Dave drove for on a regular basis back in the mid 80's at Northfield Park. He was always nice to me. I am fortunate to be a Leukemia survivor for the past 4.5 years. God bless Dave and his entire family.

Does anyone know if there are any funeral arrangements yet? Where and when? I would like to pay my respects. Dave was a good person.

His funeral was last Tuesday........I can get you an address for his parents or girlfriend if you would like to drop them a card.
